I know this is going to sound like I'm a spambot, but I'm not. I just have a documentary about wrestling matches in church gyms (except the events took place in the past 5 years, not 40 years ago!) And your blog (and this ad) caught my eye, and I'd love to send you a DVD copy for free.
Let us introduce the film. Wrestling for Jesus features a soundtrack by producer Charlie Peacock (The Civil Wars, Switchfoot), and has spent the past several months screening at film festivals all over the United States. Wrestling for Jesus follows Timothy Blackmon (aka T-Money) and his fellow wrestlers as they struggle to make it inside and outside of the ring; dealing with relationships and rival organizations, planning and staging matches, and putting on a regional wrestling promotion. It takes you right into the ring for plenty of high-flying, bone-jarring action.
The Onion AV Club says, “Think of it as The Wrestler about the guys Mickey Rourke wrestled against in those gyms, but with more Jesus . . . the tale of T-Money is like the tale of any wrestler, from Rulon Gardner to Hulk Hogan to Randy “The Ram” Robinson.”
Paste Magazine says, "(It) will stick in your head long after you've seen the film."
The State says, "Religion, marital discord and physical limitations are thematically intertwined with suplexes and off-the-top-rope flying elbows . . . The viewer gets an intimate sense of what the sport actually means to the participants."
Wrestling for Jesus is available on Amazon, but we'd love to send it to you for free. It is must-watch material for anyone who loves professional wrestling, and gives the viewer unprecedented access to the deep physical and emotional toll taken when just one man puts it all on the line. If you, too, find this film extraordinary, we'd be honored to have you join us in promoting it on Amazon, writing a review on your blog, or posting a shout-out on Facebook / Twitter.
The trailer and additional information can be found at http://wrestlingforjesus.com/. Please respond to this email with your address for your complimentary copy, or to ask any questions.
Thank you for your time.
